sup!

A Filipino, born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden. It all began with just a click and I was hooked. To be able to capture a moment in time is like pressing the pause button of life itself. Loved it then and keep falling in love with it still.

My name is Adrian and this is my journey through the lens of my camera.

the story

Let’s get back to that first click.

Borrowing my fathers Nikon F3, mounted with a 35mm f2; was the highlight of my day. I basically wasted rolls on close ups of my toys and other random stuff laying around the apartment.

A few years down the road I bought my very own camera, Nikon D80 with a kit lens 18-55mm; and I loved it. It was back when instagram was just about to pop off and I was trying to find like-minded people to feed my hunger for amazingly taken shots of people, situations, trash cans, stairs... you get the point.

Not long before instagram really became the place to be I started merging two of my big passions, sneakers and photography.

My feed was filled with on-feet shots of my ever growing collection of sneakers, which later caught the attention of other fellow sneaker heads who in fact to this very day are some of my closest friends.

Long nights lining up for a limited sneaker was very well documented and short films was shot to kill time those cold winter days.

Big shout out to the boys!

Street photography was a struggle, let me tell you. As a introverted kid I had all kinds of excuses to not go out to shoot but I still went. Bought a zoom lens just be able to place myself as far away as possible from my subject to feel some kind of comfort.

Fast forward I retired my Nikon and got the Sony a5100 with a 50mm f1.8 which became my work horse for years until I got the Sony A7II with various lenses; Sony 55mm f1.8, Sigma 35mm f1.4 just to name a few. This was when I got into the cinematic world of videography and filmed some of my best work to this day.

After a long hiatus I decided to just clear out my photo gear. I sold everything and bought the Fujifilm X100F. The X100F brought the magic of photography back and the photo walks was back in full effect.

In love with the FujiFilm ecosystem, I got the Fujifilm X-T4 with 35mm f2.0 and 23mm f.2.0 which became the setup I’ve enjoyed the most.

Fast-forward to present day, I still go out for photo walks but the purpose has changed from trying to make content to trying to self-heal.

After losing my father to covid in 2021, life changed.

Perspective changed. Priorities changed.

So, this little space on the internet is dedicated to the one and only,

My father, the late Rolando P.

Long live the King.
